King Korrigan Hammersmyth I

Korrigan Hammersmyth I is the current King of Kenril, Lord High Protector of the Kenrilian Realm, and Excelsior of the Government of Kenril (GoK). Korrigan is a 45 year old Human, and has been groomed his entire life to take the crown from his father, the deceased King Byron Hammersmyth III. When King Byron died in DY 1400, Korrigan ascended the throne at the age of 22; the youngest person ever to ascend to the Kenrilian Throne. Korrigan is the 56th Hammersmyth to ascend; the longest running monarchical dynasty in Kenrilian history; stretching back to before even the use of the new standardised Derithian calendar (DY), 1423 years ago.
Korrigan is a warrior of epic skill, having been blessed with the Hammersmyth natural ability for martial combat. He is rarely seen without his magical glaive called "Starcleave"; a wicked and powerful magical weapon that has been handed down in the Hammersmyth line for generations. He is also a dabbler in natural magic, and is an excellent tracker and outdoorsman. His ability with his bow is second only to that of his glaive. He is an avid collector of bows, and his hunting bow of choice is a magically-imbued longbow called "Titanus".
Korrigan and his inner circle of closest advisors; called "The Sentinels" are all Dragonriders. Korrigan is "twinned" with Taiga; an ancient Gold Dragon which has served as the Hammersmyth Dragon Regent for the entire dynastic reign of the Hammersmyth monarchs. Little is known about the magical connection between monarch and Dragon Regent, but it is said that Taiga is able to sense Korrigan's thoughts and feelings, and vice versa. People even believe that they can subconsciously communicate with each other over great distances, as well "share sight" with each other; granting Taiga the ability to see through Korrigan's eyes and vice versa. What is obvious to all, though, is the intense love, adoration and friendship of the king and his dragon. Korrigan counts Taiga as not just his dragon mount, but a close and wise advisor whom he trusts. Taiga, on the other hand, considers herself a second mother to Korrigan, and is fiercely protective of and loyal to him.
Korrigan is a benevolent and kind king; always striving to do the best he can for Kenril. He is broadly adored by his citizens, and loyalty to him is deep and strong throughout Kenril. Even the Orc hordes in the North of Kenril have a deep respect for Korrigan's power, although that respect doesn't stop them from raiding and pillaging the northern villages in Kenril; especially of late.
Korrigan is married to Queen Alissandra Hammersmyth (nee Weaver a commoner whom Korrigan fell in love with at a young age. Marrying non-nobles is not taboo in Kenril, and they were married to great adulation in 1398, when Korrigan was 20 years old (and Alissandra 18). King Korrigan and Queen Alissandra have three daughters: Kayleigh (16 years old), Kassandra (13 years old) and Arielle (6 years old). The children are protected quite heavily from public scrutiny in an effort to give them as normal an upbringing as possible.
