There are many different aspects of the pneumatics, including in their power dynamic. This little document however describes one of the biggest factors of their dynamic, The Chaos-Control Spectrum.

Need note:  This article refers to the Pneumatics that directly cause the shift, but they also take mass from whatever Pneumatic they're sharing the emotions of, which is a byproduct referred to as the absorbed Pneumatic.

Causes

Any shift in an individuals spectrum is primarily caused by a factor called Overflow, which happens when emotions not native to a certain Pneumatic are made by that certain Pneumatic.

Symptoms

These words Chaos and Control denote the overall state of the Pneumatics mental awareness, but also coincides with how stable the Pneumatics are at a molecular level. Control is like how the Pneumatics are normally seen, especially out of combat, carrying their human like appearances, and generally having good heads on their shoulders. The higher their control levels, the less likely they are to shift to chaotic levels. Chaos describes the worst state of the pneumatics, the higher their Chaos levels, they’re less aware of what is around them, as well as amplifying their ability to grow and morph, offering the availability to grow to much larger sizes than in the controlled state. When in these chaotic levels they can cause damage to the surrounding area because of the lack of awareness.

Prognosis

There are sudden changes that are made in an chaotic shift of a Pneumatic. These sudden changes can cause severe stress in the individual. Also to note, during the transition there can be a shift in hue from the absorbed Pneumatic.

Prevention

Prevention of any chaotic shift requires the Pneumatics to be placed in a suitable and mentally sound environment.
