Qualifications

An extensive knowledge and connection with nature, both magical and non, is required to begin as a Tamer apprentice.

Career Progression

After being approved to be an apprentice, one would train under the supervision of a professional Tamer and their partner until they are deemed ready for promotion. At this time, a trainee would be eligible for a Taming ritual and to become bonded to a partner creature. Through continuous work, advocacy and education, one can theoretically be appointed as the Prime Tamer, however in current history there has only been one individual to hold the title, Senan O'Lowry.

Payment & Reimbursement

Tamers receive grants fielded from education agencies in larger settlements and genrous donations, as well as a wage supplied through taxes collected in Vrotolay.

Other Benefits

Tamers are viewed as particularly impressive individuals due to the depth of their knowledge as well as their connection to the magical realm.

Perception

Purpose

Tamers function similarly to an adventurer's guild with the added benefit of being a hub of information. Citizens look to Tamers as the educated protectors of society and tend to be relied upon in tense moments.

Tamers generally reside at the Tamers Embassy in Vrotolay as the building houses all necessary equipment for comfortable accomodations, including barracks, kitchen, stables and meeting facilities.

Laws regarding adventuring guilds also cover the Tamers, although within Vrotolay, the Tamers tend to function independently from any overarching government in favor of the system imposed by The Magical Creature Alliance.
