The Sun Chroniclers.

The Sun chroniclers are a large group of scholars that reside in Precipice City. They run a university and maintain a great library with the sole purpose of studying the remnants of the Ancient Elves of Rezicath. The Sun Chroniclers are perhaps more powerful than the Cattle Masters and Waterlords, they deliberate base upon their collected maps and information whether an expedition is likely to find anything of note on their proposed route. Because of their translations of many old tomes and scriptures the Sun Chroniclers are the best informed on the likely locations of places of interest.    The Sun Chroniclers are natural allies with the Waterlords, both have the same interests and respect of the things located in the desert. The organisation is full of scribes, researchers and its own explorers called the Sun Rangers, at least one representative will accompany every expedition into the desert to keep an eye to make sure the proper traditions are maintained when it comes to dealing with items of the past. They also serve as guides due to the Rangers expertise with the ancient traps and hazards that exist when an old ruin is chanced upon.    They are also the largest purchaser of the various items are artifacts located in the sands. They seem to have a greater knowledge of many of the items than they publicly admit and over the years have altered Precipice City law it so returning expeditions may not refuse a fair offer for any recovered items. Though they only seem to make offers on items of certain special varieties. They claim this is due to the secret magics being too advanced and dangerous to be released upon the world, and this is in keeping with the Sun Chronicler's devotion of the Goddess Kubis.    They make their headquarters in 'The Sandstone Sanctum' a magnificent building of towering columns and wide light spaces of learning. A huge percentage of their discoveries within the desert are made public after they have adequately studied them, and often the artifacts identified to be of particular cultural importance will be placed on display in their library. Many attempts over the years have been made to try to break into the inner vaults of The Sandston Sanctum. Only a few have ever succeeded. The contents of what was stolen has never been stated, but it leads other minds to wonder what else of power and value might be lurking behind the vault doors of The Sun Chroniclers.
