The Cattle Masters

The Cattle Masters are three very powerful people living in the lands around Precipice City. The masters run ranches and control the breeding and taming of the various animals used for working and travelling the lands of Rezicath. The two most common of these beasts is the camel, and the more expensive but hardier Hinyik (a large quadrupedal reptile with large water reserving capabilities.)
The Cattle Masters a less spiritually and traditionally connected to the desert as the Waterlords and will always seek some kind of return for loaning their beasts to an expedition, they are famously unwilling to grant their aid to any proposed expeditions. However, those skilled enough can sometimes play the three rivals against each other and secure a good deal. As a general rule they will not grant their support to an expedition if the Waterlords and Sun Chroniclers have also done so.
The Cattle Masters are overlords of vast regions of farmland devoted entirely to the breeding and training of the various creatures they make their business in. Those that work for them are completely exploited. They are forced to work terrible hours and sometimes not even allowed to take the traditional midday break to avoid the heat. Culturally many Rezicathians see the low pay and work conditions as an insult to the labour they provide the Masters.
Recent restlessness among the workers and several strikes have brought the issue to a greater light in the eyes of the other powers in Precipice City. Most anticipate violence if conditions do not improve. Some encourage it.
