DEGHOM

The World of Deghom is an Earth-like planet orbiting the star Sahwel. Countless races dwell both upon and below its surface. Some of them are the product of natural evolution, while others were deliberated creations of the arcane science of Lifeweaving by one of the many grand civilizations that have risen and fallen through the Ages. All of these races strive to live and flourish in their own ways, ways which often bring them into conflict with one another.   The current dominant race of the planet Deghom are the Humans, who can be found on every single one of the planets ten major continents. They took the position of dominant species from the Elves, whose empire had lasted for over ten thousand years before falling into decadence and depravity, eventually being overthrown by their former slaves, the humans among them.   The history of Deghom is divided into Ages, each of which can last up to millions of years and contain more legends and history than can be told in a single lifetime. The current Age is the Sixth, beginning with the final banishment of the last of the Great Demon Tribes to the Circles of Hell and the gradual rebuilding of civilization after millennia of chaos.
