The Age of Isolation

The Age of Isolation, a somber epoch, arose from the ashes of the catastrophic 1st Black Fire War, with 'Te Vevutur’s divine intervention marking its beginning. The war had taken a staggering toll, resulting in the demise of fifty-nine Eeirendel and culminating in the near-annihilation of the Material Plane. The destructive energies of the war and the Malo Balar altered the essence of reality, leading to the fading of the first Drandsia Vatar. The surviving gods were stripped of their former might, and the once orderly God-Spheres were plunged into chaos.   The dissipating energies of the war and the transformation of reality gave rise to an array of life forms of mysterious origin. Some appeared to be mutations of pre-existing creations, while others seemed to spring from unfathomable sources. It was said that doorways to the lower planes were torn open, and demons and devils began to infiltrate the Material Plane, sowing seeds of malice among the races and establishing sinister empires.   In this tumultuous aftermath, the Age of Isolation dawned. Elemental portals linking the realms dulled and became treacherous to traverse, resulting in a stark severance of connections between realms. Fear and suspicion ran rampant as beings turned insular, retreating from the cosmological interplay that had once marked an era of prosperity.   Amid this desolation, however, life on the Material Plane showed its resilience. Sentient races, left to their devices without the gods' interference, began forming tribes and societies. An era of introspection and self-reliance was born, albeit intertwined with a looming sense of uncertainty.   Nevertheless, The Great Convergence, the harmonious mingling of the elemental realms' energies, continued to defy the isolation. It stood as a symbol of unity in the era of division, sparking a glimmer of hope. Many rallied around this event, seeking to rekindle the fading relations between the realms.   During this age, the radical faction known as the Purifiers rose to prominence. They viewed The Great Convergence as a corrupting force and sought to restore the Material Plane to a pre-elemental era of simplicity, stirring further tensions and conflicts.   The Age of Isolation ended when 'Saenon, a figure of influence, managed to broker peace between Zerthia and Marenwē, marking a significant turning point. After arduous negotiations, Dāéranon was granted three-fourths of the disputed lands, bringing closure to the era of isolation.   The Age of Isolation stands as a testament to the strength and adaptability of all beings across the realms, bearing witness to their collective will to endure, reconnect, and rebuild.
