Fangor
Fangor, the imposing warg that prowls the shadowy corners of the Jungle's Claw Tavern, is a creature of both menace and loyalty. With fur as dark as the night and eyes that glow with an almost otherworldly light, Fangor is not your average wolf-like creature. He is a warg, a beast of cunning and intelligence, far surpassing that of ordinary wolves. Rescued as a pup by Kurgan during one of his perilous expeditions into the untamed jungles of Nolavor, Fangor has grown to become not just a pet, but a steadfast companion and a formidable guardian of the tavern.
Kurgan discovered Fangor in a dire situation, ensnared in a hunter's trap and left for dead. Sensing the creature's latent intelligence and keen instincts, Kurgan freed him and nursed him back to health. Over time, a deep bond formed between the two, fortified by mutual respect and a shared understanding of the harsh realities of survival. It's rumored that Kurgan employed dark magics to enhance Fangor's already keen senses, making him an even more effective guardian.
Fangor's predatory gaze and keen sense for deceit serve as natural deterrents against troublemakers in the tavern. His feral instincts are finely tuned, flaring up at the scent of blood or treachery. Regular patrons know well to keep their distance, especially when tensions rise and deals start to unravel. It's said that Fangor can sense magical auras, making him particularly alert to spellcasters with ill intentions. His growls, varying in pitch and intensity, are as much a part of the tavern's ambience as the creaking of the wooden floors and the murmur of hushed conversations.
Though he may appear to be tamed, Fangor retains a wild edge. He is fiercely loyal to Kurgan but is not a creature to be petted or coddled. He roams the tavern freely, sometimes disappearing for days on mysterious errands that only Kurgan seems to understand. His return is often heralded by the delivery of some rare herb or artifact at the tavern's doorstep, his jaws carefully holding the precious item as he presents it to Kurgan.
