Session 4: "The Breaking of Feylan" Report

General Summary

  • Encountered the group of raiding Eladrin.
  • One saw a monster within the portal. The Party attempts to resolve it. The Eladrin refuse to stop raids.
  • "If you truly are willing to go in and investigate this beast, we would allow you to take supplies to have the ceremony."
  • The Eladrin say they will allow the Party to conduct the ceremony. Feylan is worried if he doesn't feel the call, we will not know where to go.
  • Eladrin raiders say the Elder may be able to help them and perform the ceremony for someone who feels the Call.
  • Feylan is willing to attempt this to stop the bloodshed. He still wants them to stop bloodshed. The raiders say they don't want to kill, but it happens.
  • Only one raider has seen the "truth". Artain attempts to persuade the one who "saw", but fails.
  • The party returns to the village. Feylan meets with an awake Eladrin and discusses returning supplies from the raiders. The raiders do not intend to stop unless the party proves there is no monster.
  • Be'llor contemplates praying the Storm Mother, because he has never attempted it. Be'llor attempts to pray and he does it aloud. (Be'llor rolls a 1d100 [65]), and nothing happens. Be'llor practices magic and then goes to bed.
  • DREAM: FEYLAN. Sees the vision of his Mother's Call. It is a sweet moment as she says goodbye to Feylan. The gate is a wreath of fiery red leaves.
  • The party convinces the Elder Eladrin to allow them to go into the ceremony portal.
  • The party barely defeats the monster, with Be'llor making the last hit.
  • The illusion fades, the party take pieces of the creature.
  • Feylan discovers the remains of his mother and father.
  • The party performs the orcish funeral rites of the Innocent.
  • The party then gets a Long Rest.
  • The party traveled for SIX DAYS to get back to the raider camp. Feylan puts together all the belongings he can to bring back. Thubbo carries it all in a big sack. Arrive the sixth day after the initial long rest where the party performed the ceremony.
  • Feylan tells the raider camp that they should spread the word that they were right. "Do not force your message, band together to hunt all the pulls" and all they know. The raiders are convinced to help those who experience the pull, to slay any other monsters like that.
  • Feylan gives them his symbol of the Yosei'Fey which proves his association with the Wanderers.
  • DREAM: Graham's memory. His memory of his last moment with his mother, Grace Lightbringer.
  • Nymphs pull the party off the trail. The party loses a day.
  • The party encounters a weird tree. The walk around it. 
  • The party encounters Clan Darksons in the forest. The Darksons tell the Volunteers to turn back. Artain Keltia convinces them to turn away and leave them alone.
  • How has Feylon changed from what he discovered this session?
