Calendar

The year consists of 14 months, each of 26 days. Each month begins with a new moon, and the first 13 days are referred to as the “rise” (as in, “second day in the rise of ___”). The full moon indicates the beginning of the month’s “fall”.   The year does not have any seasons. There is no winter or summer, no harvest time or hurricane season. The only indicator of climate is geography (eg, up in the mountains is colder, near the coast is more humid, etc). In a single location, the weather stays consistent throughout the year.

War of Creation

During the War of Creation, the months represented when certain gods got certain priorities and boons. In the months for Boccob and Nerull all gods received something.

Age of Nation

By this age, the original names of the months lost their meaning, and morphed: Eyndli, Rellnihar, Motnihar, Rill, Lao, Mb’ka, Orad-un, Glint, Calindahar, Yondihar, Karus, Glebyeth, and Nersend. The last month remained unnamed to honor the fallen of the past year.

Fourth Age

Following the fog, society renamed the months to correspond to prominant constellations in the sky.
