In grief after the Sundering, Areainra/Pahice found Yuan-Ti, the species she'd made with Keryth, reminded her too much of her lost friend, so she partnered with Scainnios/Nozohr to make a new race descended from the Yuan-Ti, but stripped of their snake-like elements. Humans are a reclusive race that have mostly kept to themselves since the Curse drove the dragons to the Throne of Tides, cutting off their former trade routes with the elves and dwarves.
