The Sundering

After the war with the Abyss ended with Keryth eating its' essence, at first, all seemed fine. The Old Gods returned to building the world, the New Gods were born, the realms were built...   And then, Vutualli/Rhother/Bogtin started to see signs of corruption in Keryth, that to him seemed deeper and more insidious than the traces of corruption that all Old Gods bore from the war. He expressed his concerns to her and to the other gods, but none of them acted.   Finally, as an act of desperation, Vutualli sundered Keryth's body from her mind, splitting apart the corrupted and uncorrupted aspects of her. In the process, her mind shattered into a thousand arcane shards that birthed the first dragons.   Vutualli saw this act as tragic but necessary. The other gods disagreed, and after much discussion, they decided to exile Vutualli/Rhother/Bogtin to the Abyss, the plane formed from their ancient foe's corpse.
