The World, as the followers of the 7 moons see it
The world of the Dawn Lands is a point of the multiverse connected by many powerful ley lines. Many portals are located throughout the planet, with the majority of the portals no longer functional, yet their structures remain. Over time, many different races and cultures found their way to the Dawn Lands through the portals while they were active. They then were able to establish their own presence on the planet. According to Legends, there was a highly advanced ancient race that built the portals, but the reason for them has been lost to time. Many, many eons ago, the ancient race vanished, which left the Dwarves to rule the planet in their stead and they are now considered to be the “native race” of the Dawn Lands. The Elves, the Fey, and the humans from Earth traveled through different portals and settled in. This is what has given us the Dawn Lands as we know it today.
The center of the western continent (the area that most of our events are based in) is usually known as the “Dawn Lands”. This area is known for its vast plans, farm lands, fishing towns, and trading cities. The largest town on the continent, New Dawn is here. The two small villages we have held out events in so far, Sylvanus, and Hammer Home, are both located between Silver Oak and New Dawn.
The world that the Dawn Lands is based on has 7 moons. The people in the central part of the continent, the Dawn Landers, also recognize these moons as deities. Whether the moons are the deities or the homes of the deities or merely symbols, no one can agree upon. The moons are: Silvan-Ri (the silver moon, the Silver Lady, the goddess of good Dark Elves and many holy warriors), M'Nak (the brown moon that also represents magic), Vortex the black moon (Lord of Evil and Tyranny, in some parts of the world he is also combined with or seen as Asmodeous), Renessa the Red Moon and the mother of all. She can most usually be seen in the sky. Crysteel (the white moon, the daughter of cold-hearted intelligence and warfare and ice & snow), Valorus (the moon that looks like ours, the moon of war and sacrifice, also a moon/deity chosen by many holy warriors), and Shiandria (mother of the forest, elves, animals, and beauty). Duran (the blue and white moon, actually a water planet with strong storms).
In actuality Ranessa is a Gas Giant planet and the other moons, and the planet we are on, are in orbit around the gas Giant Ranessa. But, from the perspective of the people on the planet we are on, they believe that all of the moons and the gas giant are all moons. The planet we are on is actually a moon around Ranessa, it is called Shiandria and is known as the Forest Maiden and is seen as the goddess of Elves, the forest, beauty, and animals.
