Plague Doctor (1.0)
Experts in curing plagues, poisons, and dealing with undead creatures and effects. The plague doctor has little in the way of combat skill but much in other capabilities.
Playing the Plague Doctor
The Plague Doctor is one of the most specialized classes in the Dawn Lands LARP game. Although this class does not use armor, you are encouraged to dress similar enough to the Plague Doctors in Medieval Europe that you are recognized as such, although you should put your own twist on it. You could take part in an adventuring party or you could stay in town and sell your services to customers.
Abilities
Armor Allowed: none
Weapons Allowed: Dagger, Knife, Stick, Club, Staff
Level 1
Plague Doctor Potions: You start with three potions at the beginning of each event.
Create Divine Health Potion:You can brew the Divine Health potion. You can create one Divine Health potion per character level per event. This is separate from your starting potions.
Cure Plague: Touch a target that has been infected with plague to remove the plague condition. Or, you can touch a target that has been through a plague area to help them regain their lost HP. This ability takes one minute to perform and is based on magic, healing skill, or a combination of both. This ability can be used six times per day (6x/day) and can be renewed.
Plague Immunity: You are immune to plague abilities and plague areas.
Level 2
Venomous Strike: You poison a throwing knife or dagger to induce sickness and confusion upon hitting a target NPC, player, or monster. Affected individuals are unable to attack, may stumble away, and the effect lasts until the encounter, battle, or duel ends or they're healed. Works if the dagger or throwing knife hits an unarmored area; blocked by armor or shields. Applies only to one specially marked dagger or throwing knife (whether thrown or used in melee) and is exclusive to that dagger or throwing knife. This ability can be used three times per day (3x/day) and can be renewed.

Cultural Ability
Spirit Scroll Training: you can use Spirit Scrolls.
Level 4
Dual Wield Daggers: You can dual wield daggers, knives, or a combination of the two. This stems from your use of daggers and knives in your medical profession.
Level 5
Immortal Soul: Due to strength of will and spirit, you can no longer be raised as an undead creature. (Elvish Plague Doctors can no longer be attacked by undead).
Poison Use: If you can touch a player with your hand and whisper the word “poison” to them they are considered poisoned. They can receive an antidote from a player, NPC, or pre-determined location. If the target player does not receive an antidote in an hour then they are reduced to 0 HP and cannot be revived until the next morning and must remain a ghost until then.

Viral Vigilant: You now gain the rank and title of Viral Vigilant. At the start of each event gain 20 GP from your work ridding the world of plagues, disease, and infections.
Improved Venomous Strike: This ability is the same as Venomous Strike but can now be used with two throwing knives.
Level 8
Poison Antidote: You can now negate poisons. You must touch the poisoned player and call out the ability. This ability can be used six times per day (6x/day) and can be renewed.
Level 9
Cultural Ability
Plague Warding Ritual: Perform a ritual that creates a protective barrier, shielding a designated area from disease, curses, and undead for a limited time.This area is 20 paces by 20 paces. This must be physically marked off and lasts until the end of the next encounter or battle.
Level 10
Infection Exorcist: You now gain the rank and title of Infection Exorcist. At the start of each event gain 40 GP from your work ridding the world of plagues, disease, and infections.
Plague Strike: You now gain the ability to transfer plague and poison through your staff, your dagger, or your knife. If you make a successful strike and call out “plague strike” you deal 1 point of poison damage and every 10 seconds you deal an additional 1 point of poison damage. This ignores armor but not shields. Poison applied this way lasts until the victim is cured of the poisoned condition or until they die. Any targets immune to poison are also immune to this ability. There is no limit on the use of this ability, but it can be negated by any sort of cure poison abilities.
