Bard (1.0) - Adventurer Class
Entertainer, bard, actor, performer, hero, lover, singer, you are known by many names. You use your amazing charisma and performing ability to make your way through the adventuring world.
Playing the Bard
In classic RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons, the Bard is usually a little more versed in combat skills. In the Dawn Lands LARP, the Bard is a little more focused on performing and manifesting their abilities through their performance. If you like to be the center of attention and like to perform in your role playing, then this is the class for you.
Abilities
Armor Allowed: none
Weapons Allowed: Dagger, Knife, Stick, Club, Shortsword, Longsword, Rapier
Level 1
Captivate: You have the ability to perform and stop one person from acting. This ability is interrupted if you take damage or lose line of sight of the target. You must be performing in some way for this to work and must be called out. This ability can be used six times per day (6x/day) and can be renewed.
Arcane Scroll Training: You can use Arcane scrolls.
Fireball: Fireball is represented by a red spell packet. You must call out “Fireball” before you throw the spell packet. If you hit a player you deal 4 damage, but the packet can be blocked by shields and the damage is reduced by APR. This spell can be used three times per day (3x/day), and can be renewed.
Level 2
Inspiration: Your performance can inspire others to great deeds. After two minutes of performing, each member of your party who witnesses it can use all their renewable abilities one extra time. Inspire does not work on other Bards. This lasts until the end of the next encounter, battle, or duel, or until sunrise or sunset (whichever occurs first). Inspire can be used three times per day (3x/day) and can be renewed.
Level 3
Cultural Ability
Level 4
Dexterous Movement: Due to your quick movement and dodging ability, you have +1 APR. This stacks with other sources of APR improvement such as armor or insight, but not the Bard ability Performing Armor.
Level 5
Performing Armor: While performing, your APR becomes 3 due to speed, blocking, or summoning armor. No other APR source stacks with this ability (for example, the Dwarven Armor Mastery ability does not stack with this). If you attack, cast spells, or do anything other than perform, the ability ends. This ability can be used once per day (1x/day).

Destructive Performance: You can perform for 30 seconds. If the performance is completed uninterrupted you deal 2 points of damage to all opponents attacking you or your party. This ability ignores all armor and protection.
Level 8
Healing Performance: You can perform for 30 seconds. If the performance is completed uninterrupted, you heal 2 points of damage to all of your party members.
Level 9

Spirit Scroll Training: You may now use Spirit scrolls.
Level 10
Celebrity: You gain the rank and title of Celebrity. At the start of each event gain 30 GP from funds gathered from your fans and followers.
