Barbarian

Barbarian Class (1.3) Adventurer Class

For the Norse cultures, these players are often known as Berserkers, while the Dwarves call them Maulers. They are mostly seen on the plains of the western continent and in the Northern Mountains. The Emerald Folk often look down on them and normally view them as outcasts, but welcome them in times of war. The Remans have a disdain for them and actively despise them, so are not allowed as class choice for players of the Reman culture.

Playing the Barbarian

Very effective in combat but weak against magic, this adventurer warrior class is the only class in the Dawn Lands LARP game that can destroy armor at beginning levels. This makes them very dangerous. If you want to fight with a wide variety of weapons and not worry about wearing armor this class is for you.

Abilities

Armor Allowed: none   Weapons Allowed: Knife, Dagger, Stick, Club, Greatsword, Two-Handed Axe, One-Handed Axe, Two-Handed Hammer, Two-Handed Mace, Hand-and-a-Half Sword, One-Handed Mace
Level 1
Armor Destruction: his ability must be called out. If the hit is successful you do no damage but the target's armor is considered broken and reduced to 0 APR. Other sources of APR not related to armor are unaffected. An opponent may still wear broken armor, it need not be taken off. This ability can be used once per day (1x/day) and can be renewed.   Dexterous Movement: Due to your quick movement and dodging ability you have +1 APR. This stacks with other sources of APR improvement including armor.   Vigor: You gain +1 Maximum HP.
Level 2
Rage: You may call out “Rage” to enter a deadly rage. When a Barbarian enters a Rage, their eyes may glaze over, their muscles may bulge, and they may let out a primal roar. This allows the Barbarian player to gain a +1 to damage with any melee or thrown weapon attack until the end of the current encounter, battle, or duel. This also makes the Barbarian character immune to charm and mental manipulation abilities. This ability can be used once per day (1x day) but can be renewed. If the Barbarian character has already been charmed then the Rage ability does not negate that.
Level 3
Cultural Ability
Level 4
Armor Training: You may now wear Level 1 Armor.
Level 5
Improved Rage: You may call out “Rage” to enter a deadly rage. This works the same as the 2nd level Rage ability but now you can also ignore spells that would slow or stop you, including Ice Bolt and Entangle spells. This skill lasts until the end of the encounter, battle, or duel, and replaces your Rage ability. This ability can be used three times per day (3x/day) and can be renewed.
Level 6
Cultural Ability
Level 7
Chieftain: You gain the rank and title of Chieftain. At the start of each event gain 10 GP from looting or from lands you “tax.”   Improved Vigor: You gain +2 Maximum HP. This ability replaces Vigor.
Level 8
Shield Destruction: Once a day (1x/day) you may call out, “Shield Destruction” to activate this ability. Once activated this skill remains active until a melee or thrown weapon strikes a shield. That strike will destroy a shield and render it unable to be used, though it can be repaired by smith, forge, or a high enough level druid.. This ability can be renewed.
Level 9
Cultural Ability
Level 10
Warlord: You gain the rank and title of Warlord. You must choose a weapon you know how to use. You gain +1 damage to the chosen weapon type. Choose wisely, this choice can not be changed. You also gain +1 Maximum HP.   Summon Horde: By calling upon your tribe or clansmen to aid you, you can gain an additional +5 damage for one successful strike with a melee weapon. This ability must be called out. This can be used at the same time as your Rage ability. This ability can be used once per day (1x/day) and cannot be renewed.

MAYBE HAVE IMPROVED VIGOR JUST BE VIGOR AND THEN ADVANCE IMPROVED VIGOR BE JUST IMPROVED VIGOR. INSTEAD OF IMPROVED ARMOR USE, CALL IT ARMOR TRAINING.
