The Oracles have no official public agenda, and are not officially recognized by any imperial force. A subset of the empire has some very strong rumors surrounding the Oracles.
Loss of an Heir
The Oracles are rumored to have hastened the death of the previous heir to the throne, who was considered too sympathetic to the colonized peoples in the empire (attempting to understand culture, encorporate customs, etc). The new heir considers the empire's influence a net boon to any colonized people, who are 'being done a favor.'
