Hall of Clans

The Hall of Clans is the greatest single building created by dwarf-kind. Designed and created by the oldest saint,  Bramrik the Hallbuilder, it was the first step towards unity the clans faced. It is a reminder that the clans are strongest when they work together. The main hall has seats for each clan leader, level with the others, at the points of a six pointed star. The Hall of Clans is at the foot of the volcano central to Mathair's Seat, as a reminder of her authority and presence.  The Hall of Clans and it's grounds are contained by a stone and metal work wall, containing a magic neutral zone created by Brigid the Wonderworker, to further prevent fighting or misuse of power.  

Clan Halls

Each clan maintains a chief residence in Mathair's Hearth, for both buisness and social reasons. The residences are the official homes of each clan chief, although it is not considered unusual for clan chiefs to move around to attend to buisness. The small keeps are both displays of power and wealth, defendable positions from outside attack, and historic landmarks with deep meaning attributed by clan members. Custom dicates a dwarf from any clan can go to their clan's hall and recieve shelter and safe harbor, although effectively fugutive dwarves are most often hiding from the enforcement of their own clan, so such actions are uncommon.
