The Party forms in the Town of Saltmarsh.
The Party runs the captured smuggled goods up to Waterdeep. Moonwalker learns of the Yawning Portal.
The Party investigates the Lizardfolk Lair and strikes an alliance with them for Saltmarsh. They then set sail for the City of Waterdeep.
The Party moves it's operations to the City of Waterdeep and looks to form a shipping/adventuring company franchise. It arrives in the city on the holiday of Highharvestide.
The party visited the Yawning Portal Tavern and battled a Troll and some vermin. Afterward they met Volothamp "Volo" Geddarm who offered them the deed to an old Tavern if they went searching for a couple of old friends of his who went missing during an expedition.
After hiring a full crew the party set sail on the The Sea Ghost (Ship) for the Whale Bone Islands west of Waterdeep. The journey was uneventful.
The Party enters and explores the Sunless Citadel in search of Renaer Neverember, Sharwyn Hucrele and Sir Braford -- friends of Volothamp "Volo" Geddarm. They find Renaer alive imprisoned by goblins and release him. Sharwyn and Braford however were turned into Tree Thralls by the mad druid Belak the Outkast. The party defeated Belak and Jacen Highwind recovered an ancient ancestral sword (the Moonsword of the Earthmother) from his family. The party also recovered a young White Dragon named Calcryx belonging to a Kobold clan and returned him. They were rewarded with a key to a pair of dragon carved doors in the southern section of the citadel. Through the doors they fought a Dragonpriest who was entombed inside a sarcophagus.
As the party was leaving the Whale Bones Islands, the Sea Ghost was attacked by a Northlander Longship. During the battle a Northlander recognized Jacen Highwind as a member of House Kendrick. He stopped fighting, dropped to a knee, and swore fealty to Jacen. The crew of the Sea Ghost defeated the Northlanders and captured the Longship.
The Sea Ghost and crew returned safely to the City of Waterdeep. Once in port, the party sold off the captured Longship and most of the loot from the Sunless Citadel. They then settled up with the ship's crew and collected the deed to Trollskull Manor from Volothamp "Volo" Geddarm.
The party officially forms an LLC called Positive Reinforcement, a licensed subsidiary of Acquisitions Incorporated. They then spend the next several 10-days dealing with the local guilds and repairing the first floor tavern at Trollskull Manor in preperation of reopening it as The Bottom Line.
On the day that The Bottom Line opened for the first time, a fireball blew up in the streets outside the manor. Investigations lead to a murder committed for an amulet that was taken to Gralhund Villa. A covert attempt to enter the villa by Lander Lackman was detected when it was found out that The Zhentarim was already there attacking the place. Lander was able to steal the amulet and escape with the aid of the Party. Fortunately, all indications of the amulet's thief seems to point to The Zhentarim.
Further investigations by the party into the murders in the alley and location of the Dragon Vault reveal no new leads. However, Vincent Trench from Tiger's Eye Investigations drops by the Bottom Line for a drink. After some discussion the party hires Vincent to track down the nimblewright who had been seen throwing the fireball in the alley.
The party sailed to the Town of Saltmarsh and visited the Standing Stones. There they fought off some bandits and Peran had a vision from a past life memory. Afterward the party set off for the Sahuagin base in order to reconnoiter it for the town council. While attempting to gain entry the party was attacked by Sahuagin scouts and two sharks. They fought off the attack then gained entry into the base.
The Party made it to the entrance of the Sahuagin Lair before reinforcements arrived. However, while trying to lower the portcullis the Sahuagin arrived. Seif Basara threw a Fireball bead and took out 11 of the 18. Lander Lackman and Peran both cast Sleep spells and knocked out two more. A battle ensued and the Party defeated all of the Sahuagin. Upon exiting the lair they noticed The Sea Ghost chasing a square rigged sloop and running it aground on a sandbar. The party and crew crossed over to the sloop (the Hornpipe) and were able to take 6 small cannons, 64 cannon balls, and 64 bags of powder from the sloop's hold before the returning tide broke up the ship. The Party then returned to Waterdeep. Back at the Trollskull Manor the Party purchased items from some of the local shops and then went to talk with Vincent the private eye who said he had information for them.
Upon entering the Sahuagin lair the party immediately fell under attack by the gate keepers. They defeated the guards and then cautiously moved through the base gathering intelligence (aided by Lander Lackman and his pet spider familiar. Later, the party was discovered deep in the lair and fought it's way past a security patrol. Reinforcements were on their way however and the party decided to flee.
The Party spent a 10-day at Trollskull Manor and shopping in Trollskull Alley where they acquired potions and other odds and ends. Towards the end of the week Vincent Trench stopped by with information on the nimblewright he was hired to track down. He found the little construct (named Nim) in the Temple of Gond. There he saw an elderly mage named Grinda Garloth torturing Nim for information. Nim did not survive. The following night he followed Grinda to an alley near the docks near where The Sea Ghost was berthed and saw Lander Lackman meet her and hand over some kind of stone. Lander seemed to be in a trance. Grinda then boarded a sailing vessel headed for Skullport.
The party debated heavily over taking The Sea Ghost to Skullport or to book passage on another ship. In the end the cost of passage was too steep and they decided to take their own ship, guided by Spotted Dick who had been to Skullport many times and knew the way. The party tried to make the journey profitable by taking on some shady cargo, sight unseen, guarded by some obvious Zhentarim thugs. The passage to Skullport, in the dead of night, was a tricky journey involving illusionary cliff walls, giant hoists run by undead slaves, and narrow passageways. Upon arrival, the ship was met by a silent Illithid harbormaster who just pointed and showed them where to dock. The shady cargo was unloaded and during the operation the party figured out that they had just transported a bunch of slaves to be sold in the Slaver's Market. Finally in Skullport, the party made their way to the Black Tankard where Spotted Dick seemed welcome. The party then split up and went to various places to find out information on the whereabouts of Grinda. Moonwalker ended up sleeping with the elderly fortune teller next door (Madame Iyvdanya) and got the information needed. The party then made their way to the Mistshore area of Skullport behind the Slaver's Market. Along the way, assassins attempted to kill Jacen Highwind however, the party was able to save him and the assassins died in the attempt. They then came up behind a group of thugs attempting to get the Stone from Ginda for Xanathar. They rescued Grinda and were given information that the Stone had been taken by Grinda's pet familiar to her family's burial chamber in the City of the Dead back in Waterdeep. She gave them directions to the chamber and the key to open it. They then let her go and she took off in an Apparatus of Kwalish. The party then went back to the Black Tankard to discuss their next move.
