Viribus Steel

Viribus steel is a rare material which is found scattered across the world but in limited quantities. Originating from the smaller moon Lobeh, during the striking fractals of ore get scattered across the world and an arms race begins to gather up the pieces before they get taken up by others. Lobeh rotates quickly having 13 cycles a year and represents strength and physical fortitude. The ore is tricky to process, requiring extremely high heats to smelt and then forge into weapons and armor. While wielding a weapon made of Viribus steel your strength grows once you gain comfort ability with it. There are tiers in which they are forged, 5%, 10% and 15% compositions are all made. The higher the percentage the harder it is to forge and while making higher levels of blade is possible the wielding of such a weapon begins to have negative consequences on one’s body. They will slowly begin to corrupt their wielders as such it has been well over 1000 years since people have made these blades to have higher than a 15% composition of Viribus steel.
The steel poses a surprising flexibility while resting strength. Some smiths have used it to make the arms of bows. These similarly increase the user's dexterity. These also have the same constraints that the swords do since higher than 15% composition negative side effects begin to show up. The third use that has been found for Viribus steel has been in armor. While wearing armor your constitution increases as the armor's innate properties infuse your body with natural fortitude.
Given the nature of goods made from Viribus steel, when the ore get scattered across the world, it is quickly snatched up as the blades can turn a meek fighter into a strong fighter and they can make a strong fighter a force to be reckoned with. These weapons and armors are able to increase the number of people who might qualify for positions in the army. Equip it right and an individual who would have been too weak can now fight effectively.
