The War of Three Nations

The war of three nations was fought for 17 years from 2749 until 2766. Prior to the war tensions were built over control of the infernal frontier. Nellum, Fathia and Drocia were fighting over the infernal frontier, battling over who got to claim the land since they all saw great value in the artifacts and relics that persist within the bounds of the frontier. All three groups were fighting their way into the frontier functionally throwing bodies at the problem trying to make progress against each other, yet when one nation made ground the other two would work against it to make sure they couldn’t solidify their foothold.   Two things coincide to bring an end to the war. Firstly a new emperor in the Drocian emperor, Alexander Eustice took over in the year 2765 after the death of his father in battle. Alexander made it a mission to end the war after having watched his father and best friend fall in the war. The second was the death of the King of Fathia, Durrik Stormbeard. Having passed away due to natural causes many feared that the two new leaders Alexander and the heir to the Fathian throne Orthark Stormbeard would not have the leadership skills needed to end the war.   How wrong they were. These two came together and became steadfast friends and formed an alliance, agreeing to back out of the frontier and work together to fund exploration into the frontier. They met up and offered to the King of Nellum that he join them with the goal being to end the war and come to an agreement allowing all three nations to explore the frontier with equal share. After eight days at sea the three nations came to an agreement to build a new settlement in the frontier called the Dawnhold. This would serve as a base of operations for any and all adventures who seek to explore the frontier.
