Scepter of Death

The scepter of death, an artifact of legend and an item for which wars have been fought over. Considered one of the elemental artifacts much like the eternal ember. The shelter is carved out of dark obsidian, with silver chains wrapping the top like leather wrappings. Placed atop the scepter sits a pale blue crystal with silver and black flakes inside which catch the light.   Wars have been fought over this artifact, roughly 300 years ago as the current political borders were being fought over a battle broke out deep in the jungles of Nelum between two of the kingdoms which once resided there. Again when it was see 75 years later in Fathia the crunch of Pelor took the scepter and claiming to seek to destroy it but in doing so high priest Premana Salure attuned to the scepter seeking to use its powers to control death and provide life for her followers. She was initially successful but over time the weapon corrupted her and she became a monster, seeking to kill and destroy without question.

After the scepter was taken from Premana Salure in the battle of Talons Pass the wreckage was scoured for days in an attempt to find the scepter, to lock it away, to prevent it from being used to harm individuals again. It was never found. The optimistic individuals believe it to have been destroyed with her, but it should take more than that to end an artifact of such power. Scholars believe that it would need to be brought back to its plane of origin and from there they aren’t quite sure.
