Meloras Temple in Port Comdosa

During the Post Comunal Era as people began to set out from Kings Isle there were structures that were found, some destroyed, some kept, some improved and some repurposed. One of these ones that was kept was the large stone seashell structure on top of the cliffs near what is now the town of Port Comdosa. A large stone seashell roughly 50 feet across sites, embedded in the ground. Two sets of stairs lead down to the lowest point. Seats arching around stretch up to the edge as you walk it. The symbol of Melora rests on the floor. Composed of stone, which has long begun to crack and wear down in the ocean breeze. Plants slowly are creeping out of the cracks giving the structure a worn and weathered look. In the center just behind the symbol on the floor stands a pedestal with what was likely once a statue of Melora. Now it’s just two large feet broken just above the ankle.   Many people come to worship here now. Assisted by the fact that there is no longer a statute of a specific god, there is not a specified type of worship. Most commonly here you’ll find sailors who are praying for a safe trip, and a safe return. Similarly you’ll find widows here who are now seeking the return of their lost spouse or lover who went to sea and hasn’t returned.   As more and more people have started to turn to religion here, people have begun to look at fixing up the structure, repairing the cracks and pulling out the weeds which have overgrown the place. Until more organized religion is able to find this project the upkeep and care will be left to the devoted few who seek to continue to do acts of good in Meloras name.
