Viviane lived on their family farm in the countryside with her mother, father, and younger sister. So far, she has lived a quiet life, tending to the household while her parents worked, and caring for her sister. Her friends described her as caring and cheerful, and though sometimes a tad emotional she was always a blast to have around and was always there when her friends needed some support. Since her 16th birthday, Viviane had been engaged to Edwin. She was excited about the arrangement and had since had many dates with her suitor. Edwin and her have known each other since they were children and secretly, she had always hoped he would be the one she’d end up engaged to. Viviane’s life wasn't always easy, its hard work being a farmer’s daughter, but it was peaceful, and she cherished the time she spent with her friends and family. But those times wouldn’t last forever, then Viviane and her family had a secret. Viviane possessed rare magical abilities. As a young child Viviane’s temper caused many problems with the weather. Her screams and cries would echo in the thunderstorm that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Her tears would conjure rain on a sunny day and when she sulked the room temperature dropped by at least 5 degrees. Viviane was a storm sorceress. Humans with magic are regarded with utmost disgust and caution then they can only be created by an impure bloodline mixed with elven decent. Or worse draconic. Though that is only a myth. Wherever Viviane has her power from its there and its powerful. As a child she already had trouble controlling it though as she become older the magic within her became stronger and, tethered to her emotions, accidental outbreaks became more frequent. Her family have gone to lengthy measures to hide her power from the rest of the town and believed an early marriage would secure her future. However. Edwin found out about her powers and immediately broke off the engagement. Viviane was heartbroken, her friends had deserted her, and her family was disappointed. So, she decided to leave. She didn’t want to hide anymore, and she didn’t want to be at the mercy of her own powers. And so, she set forth to Rhynmouth to join the magic academy and learn to control her powers.
