Dashar

Dashar is a world made of a few established kingdoms, and many smaller nations still trying to find their way after a great war that spanned the entire continent. Almost 900 years ago the world was thrown into chaos as war erupted between the 10 major nations, each ruled by an immortal. What most still refer to as the war of the immortals, had a devastating effect on the entire continent. A few of those kingdoms remain somewhat intact, while others were torn asunder and were rebuilt into many smaller nations.   In this new world, humans, dwarves, elves, and halflings inhabit major cities along with much smaller numbers of half-orcs and half-elves, though they can struggle to fit into these communities. Occasionally you’ll see a Dragonborn, a gnome or a Tiefling in the city, but they prefer to stay in their smaller clans. The war displaced many other races in Dashar, including orcs, kobolds, and goblins just name a few. At times some of these can now be found in ruins of what was once a town in ages past.   As time has a way of doing, the memory of that ancient time and what came before is mostly forgotten. Modern-day Dashar is a world filled with political intrigue, wild magic (if you know where to look), and still unknown dangers. At one time much of the world may have been known, but no longer. Much of the countrysides are still uncharted and undiscovered. Wonders exist that no one has ever seen, and worlds exist that no mortal has laid eyes on. Many people never venture more than a few miles from where they grow up.
