Cedarville, ID

Every once in a while an old map of Idaho will show small northwestern town called Cedarville. Each time the town appears to be in a different location. It's widely believed to be a paper town, a place that only ever existed on maps. Some people think it did exist, but was abandoned left to rot. Journalist, civil servants, and ghost hunters have all searched for Cedarville and failed to find any trace of it.   The truth is that Cedarville is very much a real town, located in the Idaho Panhandle on the banks of Clearwater River. The town is owned and governed in secret by the international occult intelligence agency, Division.

Demographics

Roughly 65% of the residents of Cedarville are active agents of Division. These agents all maintain civilian identities and hold real jobs in town. Division activity is kept hidden from the families of the agents and other locals through strict protocols and psychic manipulation.

Industry & Trade

Division maintains lucrative contracts with the United States, some European powers, and the Soviet Union. The sales of the weapons and tech developed in Cedarville more than covers the towns budget.

Infrastructure

Almost every standing structure in Cedarville was built or renovated by Division. Many of the residential buildings double as bunkers and safehouses, with unassuming facades hiding concrete walls and high tech defense arrays. The sewers system of Cedarville is full of secret Division installments, laboratories, and vehicle hangars.

History

Established in 1873, Cedarville was purchased covertly from the United States by Division in 1899. The town serves as the North American headquarters for Division as well as the command center for Operation Darkwatch.
