“Ain’t no house on the block with more boarded windows and more eyes watching. Don’t knock unless you know the knock.”

Description - Exterior

One block east of the Sinners’ HQ sits a squat, sagging two-flat with a rotting porch and graffiti-tagged siding. The windows are all boarded over—some tight, some sloppy—and the front door hangs a little too loose for comfort. A tattered bedsheet blocks the view from the street, and there’s always a new tire or burned-out couch on the curb. Most neighbors pretend it doesn’t exist. The ones who don’t? They don’t last long.

Description - Interior

The inside smells like dust, mold, and something sharper—burnt plastic and chemical powder. The front room has a couch with more stains than cushions, and a beat-up radio that never changes stations. The stash is kept in the kitchen—locked in a gutted fridge, wrapped in oilskin, and covered in canned goods. Upstairs, the back bedroom holds the crew’s makeshift inventory space: scales, paper, boxes, and a loaded sawed-off beneath the floorboards. The floors creak in weird rhythms, and the lights hum even when the power’s out.

History

Once a working-class family home, the place was condemned in ’48 and never properly boarded. It sat empty for years—used by squatters, drunks, and worse. The Sinners claimed it in late ’52 and made just enough repairs to make it defensible. It’s not comfortable. It’s not safe. But it works. For now.

Owned By

Southside Sinners – Claimed as territory and in active use as their main stash site for distribution.

Run By

Conner McGregor – Cousin to Tommy and Sean. Loud, loyal, and half as clever as he thinks he is. He handles the day-to-day with a sawed-off under the kitchen sink and a cigarette behind each ear.

Employees

  • Conner – Acting boss. Not subtle, but hard to move.
  • Bruce – Runner, handles deliveries to nearby buyers. Fast, but forgetful.
  • Halina – Quiet, sharp-eyed neighbor who watches from across the street and reports trouble for a cut.
  • “Little B” – A junkie-turned-doorman who’s more reliable than he looks.
  • Joey Punch – Muscle. Only shows up when needed. Smells like sweat and gasoline.

Regulars

  • Skip and Waltz – Stop by for samples and rumors. Sometimes bring trouble with them.
  • John Smith – Shows up when the product is pure. Leaves when it isn’t.
  • Local teens – Some try to hang out. Most get warned off. A few don’t listen.
  • Reggie – Checks in on supply and warns when the Bulls are sniffing.
  • Tommy and Sean – Pop in often to check inventory and tighten Conner’s leash.

Notes

  • The stash is kept in the fridge and hidden behind shelves of expired food cans.
  • A Veil-sensitive crew member might feel an oppressive echo beneath the floorboards.
  • The back bedroom door never closes all the way. Some say it’s warped. Others say it’s something else.
  • Conner keeps a journal in the basement, trying to “track who’s real trouble.” It’s mostly drawings.
  • One neighbor tried to report the place—he slipped on the porch and broke his leg the next morning. Nobody’s said a word since.
  • A new buyer wants to set up regular pickups—but his partner keeps talking to someone who isn’t there.
