Grizzlewonk

Grizzlewonk, also known as Prince Grizz of Elwonk, is a forest goblin and henchman of the half-elven sorceress Ellyw of Gwent.  While he is fiercely loyal to his mistress, and fascinated with making his way in the non-goblin world, he is nonetheless capable of extreme viciousness.  He is a known associate of Beringar, the spy master of the Brenin of Gwent, and it is said that by training with Berengar and his half-elven mistress, he has attained a level of power unequaled by any others of his race.  In truth, he is without a doubt the most powerful goblin in Albion and possibly all of Ereba.   In addition to his stealth and skill in underhanded dirty fighting, Grizzlewonk is said to be quite the cook, having learned from Matlida, a robust cook with ogrish blood in her veins.  Grizzlewonk is partial to cats and has an eye for female hobbits.  Due to his association with Ellyw, his training by Berengar, and occasional services to Gwent, he is allowed to freely mix with the populace without a mask.  Whenever he goes abroad, however, he hides his nature-for though he is a goblin, he is a master of disguise.  Grizzlewonk is said to have traveled widely, having raided the tomb of Acererak far to the north and even traveled to the fabled city of Byzantios in the east.

Grizzlewonk is a forest goblin. After an unsuccessful attempt with his fellows to ambush the party, he was captured and spared because of his willingness to cooperate with them to save his own neck. Unable to return to his people because of the disgrace of having lost his spider steed, Grizzlewonk became a henchman of the mysterious half-elf Ellyw, from whom he learned thievery but not magic. He remains under the party's protection, forced to wear a mask among most "civilized" human population to hide his true lineage. He can only truly be himself during those times when he rests in the Ogre's Den Inn, where he helps the half-ogre Matilda in the kitchen.
