sub-Order | The Cenobite Circle
Introduction
The Cenobite Circle is a special organisation, a sub-order of the Grave Templars, whose existence is known only to a few of their brethren, and to this day almost no civilians or members of humanity's other armies are aware of who they are or what their mission is, and that is because the Knights-Monks of the Circle only intervene where corruption is at its deepest, where hope has long since died, and where the greatest unspeakable threat to humanity lies, they are the ultimate champions of light and shall be known only by those they seek to exterminate.
The Cenobite Circle
The Cenobite Circle is a special order made up only of knights who have demonstrated total immunity to the powers of the outer gods.
Once discovered, they are taken from their legion and placed in a secret area within Kaban, where they are trained for years to use the powers of the gods as weapon and perfect their resistance to psychic violence.
There are many mysteries surrounding the Cenobite Knights and they are rarely seen on the battlefield, they mostly live in secrecy and when they do show themselves on a battlefield with another Legion, it means that a great threat has appeared and they must act.
In such situations, once the battle is over, they often kidnap the human witnesses and they are never seen again, only the other Templars are allowed to leave on their own.
It is when the Templars are faced with the greatest threat in existence, and when all struggle is in vain, that they call upon the Cenobite Circle.
They are the last bulwark agains't the Eldritch beings and are revered within the Order as the chosen ones, destined to triumph over all obstacles placed in the path of humanity, whatever they may be.
While these statements may be exaggerated, it is true that the Cenobite Circle is arguably the most powerful order that has ever existed, even taking into account other prestigious orders of chivalry such as the Rosary Champions.
The deployment of even a single KnightMonk is something that the Cenobite Circle must consider carefully, as there is much to do, and few of them. While the forces of evil seem capable of striking endlessly, the KnightMonks are only a handful, and every time they prioritise an operation, another great threat may be unleashed in parallel on another defenceless theatre. This is why the Cenobite Circle only intervenes in cases of extreme emergency, where the worst creatures are rampant. But if another of humanity's enemies stands in their way, the circle will not hesitate to crush this threat like common insects, whatever it may be, because they are the knight monks, and their mission is like no other, and nothing will stop them from making their way to their target.
the art of swordsmanship
The Knight-Monks of the Circle are the pinnacle of swordsmanship, they spend an astronomical amount of time at the Lices to train their techniques, they use Longsword and on the battlefield each of their swings sweeps the earth and splits the air before them, it may seem too much, however necessary it is to fight the vicious Elder Beings, such as the Ithaqua, who are large and resistant.
Brotherhoods
Unlike their Templar counterparts, the Cenobites do not organise themselves into legions, but into smaller shock squads called brotherhoods, of which there are currently 4, each consisting of only a dozen knights. These Brotherhoods form strong bonds over the course of their training and battles, making them truly a family.
Conjurers Brotherhood
Prescient Brotherhood
Redemptors Brotherhood
Consecrators Brotherhood
The Monastic Dormitory
The Knightmonks have the strange habits of sleeping in tight holes, dug in the stone, they are in rows of three and dug as many columns as they need for the whole bortherhood to fit. they sleep this way to follow the strict way of the Monk, it is to free their soul of any potential materialism and lust.
Also, they hang all of their weapons to the ceilings of their dorms, as well as some ceremonial incents.
