Hildegarde, nicknamed 'The Eldritch Huntress', is an enigmatic and feared figure in the Hunter's community. She has always been driven by a thirst for vengeance and an insatiable desire to dominate the creatures she hunted. In her quest for limitless power, she even offered her arm as a sacrifice to the gods she despised, gaining the ability to perform occult magic as well as her enemy.
With a right arm of mystical energy and limitless rage running through her skin, Hildegarde has become a relentless hunter. Her main aim is not to protect others, but to assert herself as the ultimate predator in a world ruled by monsters. Her blank eyes betray no pity, only the cold determination of someone who has sacrificed everything for vengeance. From now on, her presence is synonymous with danger, her imposing silhouette and dark aura inspiring both fear and fascination.
Hildegarde's past is marked by a tragedy that has forged her ruthless character. Orphaned from an early age, she grew up in a modest orphanage in the north of the dreamlands, that was once the safest part of the country. The other children and staff at the orphanage were her only family, and she found a semblance of comfort in this community even with the dangers of the dark days growing everywhere on the continent. One night, as darkness spread over the forest, an indescribable terror descended on the orphanage. A creature from the abyssal depths, known as the star spawn of Cthulhu, emerged, drawn by an unknown force. Its titanic tentacles and piercing gaze, imbued with madness and malevolence, sowed chaos and destruction. The walls of the orphanage, once a safe haven, crumbled under the beast's merciless assault. Hildegarde, then aged ten, watched helplessly as the horror unfolded. During 4 days and 4 nights she heard everything she ever knew being absorbed in the mind of the creature and dran in the depths of the human mind. Fear overwhelmed her, but a primitive survival instinct drove her to hide in the covent well. She spent hours cowering in the darkness, listening to the screams and agonised cries of her loved ones. 4 Days later, the creature had disappeared, leaving behind a landscape of devastation, mutilated bodies everywhere, so deformed by their madness that they were almost unrecognisable. Hildegarde emerged from her hiding place, covered in dust, to discover that she was the only survivor, she never knew how she could have avoided falling into madness, but for a long time she wished she had died during those days. This tragic event left an indelible mark on her soul, the sight of all the bodies she had to step on to escape the covent still haunts her mind as of today, fuelling a visceral hatred of monsters and an unquenchable desire for vengeance . Since that day, Hildegarde has devoted her life to hunting down and eliminating creatures like the one that destroyed her childhood. Offering her arm in sacrifice was just another step in her quest for vengeance and domination. She no longer seeks peace or justice, but to become the most feared force among monsters, hoping to fill the void left by that night of horror. She waited for the next awakening of the Start spawn, but it never came, so she rallied the Hunter's testimony to bring her own vengeful blade right into the creature's lair.
