An event that turned South Corico and North Aradanin into a dessert

Aproamitly 300 year before the time of Paladin Stilvir, a Second Sun appeared to the North of the City of Bas Conadra, the holiest city in the Jovan Faith and the first Human city. THis second Sun send down fire and light so intense that it turned sand into glass, stone to lava and trees into charcoal instantly. The Holy city was distroied and 300 year late, the land has still not recovered to the fertile state it was before.
