Temple Council

The Temple Council contains the high priests of every god of the Gods of Light and Dark. It is based in La Liotsound, although two members are usually present in Grantshawk to act as Members of Parliament- chosen by lottery on offset rotation.

In general, the Temple Council resolve matters of worship and religious theory and law between themselves without involving the rest of the priesthood, but they have been known to take votes on larger matters.

The Temple Council are also responsible for using the money they receive from the crown (raised through taxes) for the basic upkeep of all temples in the country. They decide the best use of large additional donations and gifts (anything over 500GP is considered large and is given directly to the Temple Council), while smaller sums are primarily used by the temple that received the donation.

Finally, the Temple Council have final say on how land gifted to the temples is used.
