Months of the Year

The Dalian calendar has 12 months, and the New Year starts at the end of the week of celebrations following the Winter Solstice with the first day of Deepwinter.
The months (and their associated number in the dating system) are:

1. Deepwinter
2. Alturiak
3. Ches
4. Tarsakh
5. Melting
6. Kythorn
7. Summertide
8. Highsun
9. Fading
10. Leaffall
11. Uktar
12. Nightal

Many month names are still in the old Elvish, but around half are more commonly referred to in their Common translation by Dalians. Almost all months contain 3 'tendays' or weeks, with some having a 31st day to account for Special Days and Festivals.
