Giant Beasts

Many of the Giant animals (Giant Owl, Giant Eagle, Giant Vulture and the like) understand at least one language, although they cannot speak, and are generally considered to have a level of sapience that makes keeping them as pets or mounts something of a social taboo, being seen as akin to Slavery (which is forbidden in Daly). Giant Elk are something a little different, as they are known to speak their own Elk language. Herds of Giant Elk roam the Malen Dauen plains, easily able to see above the 6 feet stalks.
