Duergar

These dark-skinned dwarves have not adapted to the surface lands the same way as other dwarven subraces. As with the kobolds, their sensitivity to sunlight puts them at a disadvantage when trying to integrate witht he surface dwellers- but more to the point, they have a whole kingdom of their own, deep under the earth, and little desire to integrate or even co-operate with the Dalians.

They have been known to attack mining settlements viciously if a mine is thought to be delving too close to their claimed territories.
