Varel was quite charming and a friend of many Elves. He made the family into a household name through everyone wanting to associate with him. On his deathbed he shared his Royalblood title with Tarnell Arius, something that is not possible under normal conditions, but he was so widely loved that they let him do it. Tarnell Arius later turned out to be his unlawful son.
