Effect
The target of this spell suffers severely impaired vision, similar to the effect of being intoxicated. The affected creature suffers a -4 penalty to hit against all targets as if they were the subject of a blur spell. The target also suffers a penalty to searching for traps and hidden passages for the duration of this spell, halving the chances of both. The blurred vision also makes reading more difficult, and the subject must succeed at a perception check to read anything(including magical scrolls). The caster may “inebriate” one creature per level with hit dice equal to twice their level.
This spell does not cause the subject to actually become intoxicated, however, and thus does not cause the subject to suffer penalties to dexterity or wisdom, nor can the effects be removed by spells such as neutralize poison or a racial poison immunity or resistance.
At the DM’s discretion, creatures under the effects of this spell might find members of the opposite sex with unusually low charisma scores to be more attractive.
