Onyx obelisk

Purpose / Function

The purpose of this monument is unknown even for the Khetssyliuar who have at least a hundred years living in the island the obelisk stands

Architecture

Is a massive onix is a rectangular prism estructure that elevates 160m above the ground, and a base of 3.1m each side.
At the top have a tetrahedral estructure, pyramid, with 1.8m of height for a total of 161.8m of height
The stone is black, at first sight, but with close examination, one can see red and white bands and some blue spots. The monument is quite a view in the day but at night maybe the true purpose is more evident.
Marked with 4 distinguishable golden runes,at regular intervals, over the 4 faces of the prims, that glows at night and in the  pyramid at the top, the one that glows brightly; a the light is not so powerful but can be see it up to a 4.5Km radius in a non moon light night.

History

One of the expeditions Bulric Explorer patronize and lead discover this monument one pitch black nigth; a lot of the crew members of the vessel see this as a sign of good luck or even the gods
The expedition found the three islands, of fishmen people, as the crew named. 
They disembark in the main island, the one with the impressive obelisk, even more impressive up close, Bulric found the structrure was insiede the yard of an ancient temple kind of building; he has the intention to enter the place to study it, beside the monument, his primal interest but someone in the group kill a native creature because was "ugly" and all go south rapidly, they barely left the island. Even some kilometers away the fish like humanoids pursue the boat at incredible speed and manage to kill some crewmembers with sharp spears thrown from the ocean
