Half-Giant

"Half-Giant" is a collective term for any sapient humanoid species with Giant ancestry. Giants are a species of humanoid that are known to be exceptionally tall in height and strong. Over the years, many giants have mingled with people from other humanoid species, creating Half-Giants. It should be noted that Half-Giants are different to "Giant-Kin", as Giant-Kin are not sapient.
There are a few 'main' species of Half-Giant. These are the Goliath, the Firbolg, and the Ornok. Goliaths are desended from the interaction between mountainous human tribespeople and giants, with most goliaths continuing to live in that same tribal fashion. Firbolgs desend from the interaction between giants and fey creatures, and are largely absent from the prime material plane as the majority live in the Feywild. Ornok is the Orcish word for Giant, and Ornoks are desended from the interactions between orcs/goblinoids and giants.
Goliaths are a solitary people, often dwelling with their tribes on the peaks of mountain ranges around the world. They are, along with Ornoks, known for their great strength and resolve, but uniquely Goliaths are known for their intricate and large amount of tattoos. Every adult in a Goliath tribe is obligated to have at least a full back's worth of tattoos, as tattoos chronicle an individual's deeds through a complex series of imagery that even the most learned scholars would find difficult to decipher.
