The Weaver's & Spinner's Guild has been in the spotlight in recent memory, as it was found that Federation spies had infiltrated the guild and were posing as members all across the Empire - acquiring information and who knows what else from the Empire's people. The Guild was heavily sanctioned by Emperor Davistan XIV and there is still some lingering distrust amongst the populace against guild agents.
