Tucson Survivor's Colony

Tucson is an independent colony affiliated heavily with the NAFZ territories. They refuse to join the NAFZ but do not turn down trade for valuable supplies, especially water. Tucson is the hub of rebuilt railroads, and the NAFZ frequently send large shipments of water in exchange for the loan of engineers. The city itself is a massive fortress ringed by reinforced steel fences, both electrified and bolstered with mystical charms. The presence of the walls keeps most kinds of demon ghosts out of the city, and demons themselves can be spotted by snipers for miles around thanks to gigantic towers. Most residents of Tucson came from the Southwest in general, and the current leadership of the city sends out plenty of recruitment parties to smaller settlements. New Tucson residents are screened heavily for possible possession before being allowed it. The city's electrical grid is powered by gigantic fields of solar panels outside the city which must be heavily defended at all times, but in times of emergency power can be generated by an array of "hamster wheels" that the residents are made to run in as much as they can.

The Rails

The trains of Tucson are necessary for the continued survival of the NAFZ and affiliated colonies. Supply trains pass through Tucson daily, and are heavily defended by NAFZ and Tucson volunteers. The trains are primarily powered by electricity gathered from solar panels and batteries, but can be moved with steam as well. Each train is a mobile fortress designed to defend against attacks by all manner of creatures, often spiked in addition to electrified. There are four primary railroads from Tucson, going to Hermosillo, Whiteriver, Anaheim, and Great Salt Lake City. The Anaheim line is only used to move troops, and the GSLC line passes near the Scottsdale Battle Zone and must be given a double guard. In recent years, the TCRD has been willing to loan Tucson Daemons as guards for the trains in exchange for more direct work in the Northwest territories.
