The Mothman

Mothman is one of the Demon Generals, believed to have claimed extensive territory in the Eastern United States, confirmed to be active at the time of the apocalypse in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. As a Demon General, Mothman has the ability to command demons directly, regardless of species. Unlike other Demon Generals, however, Mothman does not lead those demons that answer it's unknowable call, rather it appears before a human populace, staring down at them, cloaked in shadow, allowing itself to be seen hours before the demons it has summoned appear to feast and destroy. Mothman always seems to disappear before the arrival of demonkind, and it is believed to act as a prophet of destruction rather than a leader. No human has seen Mothman outside of this context, no human knows what it wants or even truly what it is capable of. All that is known is that every single time the Mothman is seen, without fail, destruction follows within the next week. 
Mothman is believed to have come to our reality decades before the apocalypse, first appearing in the famous Silver Bridge Collapse incident. Before the Fall of Man, the residents of Point Pleasant celebrated the Mothman as part of the local culture, going so far as to construct a statue of it. Today, Point Pleasant remains the only known pre-apocalypse city to never have been attacked by demons. The modern residents of Point Pleasant are all dedicated Moth Cultists, worshipping the Mothman as a harbinger of destruction and a beacon of disaster. Over the decades since the apocalypse, no resident of Point Pleasant has actually seen the Mothman, but those who denied it's divine providence have died off in either mysterious circumstances believed to be punishment sent from the creature itself, or outright lynched or otherwise driven out by dedicated Moth Cultists. On a few occasions, residents that outright cursed or insulted the Mothman have been reported to be killed by demons, even in the otherwise safe city. 
Mothman is described as a large man with a ten foot wingspan and glowing red eyes. It is always cloaked in shadow so that only it's outline can be seen. Footage from the apocalypse itself shows the Mothman as having a sideways-opening mouth full of sharp but human-like teeth and digitigrade legs. When not extended, the wings of the Mothman appear to wrap around it's form not unlike a cloak or large jacket.
