Veythar, God of Shadows

Veythar: God of shadows, schemes, plots, and assassins.

His work is done under the cover of night and shadow, unknown to many. He is cunning, any and everything becoming a tool for his disposal. During the calamity he worked with the other Gods, shifting and scheming in the shadows. Making preparations for the prisons the betrayer gods would end up in. He sees his work and those that he culls as simply cutting their strings from the tapestry of fate. All necessary to bring his justice and vision to life. Some claim that Veythar was playing both sides, working both angles so that no matter what he would come out on the winning side. But that is all speculation.

His followers are often politicians, court advisors, assassins, and businesspeople. All who realize the power and advantages that can come from the shadows. One of the more prominent organizations devoted to Veythar is the Umbral Covenant. A group of assassins originating somewhere in the Shifting seas. They would often wait for a whisper from Veythar, a sign in the shadows telling them when to act and who to kill. However, since the sealing behind the divine gate they devolved into assassins to hire, finding plenty of work across the nine seas and in Providence.

Since the shattering of the divine gate there has been whispers that Veythar is back to his scheming, whispering in the ears of those who follow him.
