Session 2: "I am Grins"

Upon rescuing Magda from certain doom from the creepy deathweaver spider, she panics and commands the party to stay back from her because she believes herself to be too dangerous to approach.
What the party learns of Magda:

1. Magda is a young elven woman that has a mysterious and unique connection to the Weave, allowing her to manipulate it in ways not seen before. Her ability to create unique spells is unparalleled and -- unfortunately for her and the people around her -- is incredibly hard for her to control.
2. Because of her immediate danger, she has been given the titles, "Magda the Witch", "Magda the Cursed", "Magda the Evil One", and Magda the Death Omen"

Throughout her life, the one person that always stood by her side, no matter what, was her sister. But after a Brass Sabre attack on a village where Magda and her sister were staying, an evil mage blasted a hole through her sister via a lightning spell. This most likely severed what little remaining control Magda had left.

At that moment, Magda relinquished her resistance against the powerful magic within her, and the world roared in response. Waves crashed against the Brass Sabre vessels, contorting into great elementals that swarmed their hulls. The clouds split, and eldritch black tendrils reached from teh torn sky to skewer the ships. Dead pirates violently contorting and exploding, shooting off shards of bone, ripping through the flesh of those nearby.

Most of the spells that Magda can and has cast do not exist within the pages of spellbooks.

Magda fled from the village and flew to a distant land (The Shattered Lands), not knowing where she would end up. She stayed at the United Nation of Hope for a time, before she lost control of her powers again. Then, she fled into the wilds, this time with a desparate quest to find someone who could help her control her power.

Her sanity is on its last leg. The Red Rune keeps whispering into her ear, and she wants to let it into her mind.

Session 2 Recap:

• The party finds The Red Rune after Magda asked them to get her book back. It was in the possession of a weird cult staying at a temple dedicated to one of the Shattered Spirits.
• Speaking of, Kaya (Amanda) allegedly meets one of these spirits, who goes by Grins. Grins informs her fairly openly that he is just insatiably curious and will be watching the party's actions moving forward.
• He also told Kaya that Jonah, the warlord of the Ra'hanaen elves, is another Shattered Spirit just like him.
