Anansi, God of Stories
Anansi is a trickster and the keeper of all sotires. he takes the form of a half-spider and spins giant webs in the forests of Avalon. There, he catches all of the stories from people's dreams and gossip. He sometimes keeps the stories for himself, but other times he shares the experiences with the world so that they may become wise.
Anansi's stories are told orally. In some cultures, history is written down and recorded. In Cynthia, written tradition is Ao Kuang's realm. To Anansi, when you write down your history or stories, they become dead; oral tradition keeps your history alive.
Ideals/Domains: Ambition, trickery, knowledge, arcana. Though Anansi is not often noble, the reason he pulls pranks and schemes is ultimately to teach mortals some sort of elaborate lesson . . . or just to entertain himself; it's really give or take.
