It was his parents. At least, it looked like them. They were standing in a dimly lit facility, surrounded by technicians, the soft hum of advanced machinery filling the background. But something was off. Their eyes were vacant, their faces blank. The most disturbing part? There was something attached to them — some kind of neural interface, one that wasn’t part of their original work. The technology was unlike anything he had ever seen.
“This was taken a few weeks before they vanished” Arden said, her voice quiet now, almost apologetic. “They were working on something classified and when they realized what it was, they tried to pull back but someone didn’t want them to.”
Rolland stared at the images, the pieces of the puzzle starting to form. His parents had never just disappeared. They had been silenced and their research hijacked.
“They weren’t just taken,” Rolland said softly, his voice a rasp. “They were erased.”
Raven Microcybernetics, commonly referred to as Raven Microcyb or RMC, is a corporation dedicated to the cyberware business. Its headquarters are found in Night City. Raven Microcyb was once the main American manufacturer of cyberware, wetware and cybernetic electronics, and were known for always surfing the cutting edge of cybertechnology.[1] By 2045, however, it had been surpassed by Rocklin Augmentics.
But while Rocklin focuses on the body, RMC focuses on the Brain, which is far more sensitive and difficult to enhance. They may not be "as well known", but those 'in the know' trust their cyberdecks for their speed and efficiency, (Netrunners swear by their cyberdecks).

While Rocklin Augmentics focuses on bodily cybernetics, RMC is largely focused on cyberdecks, cyberware and netrunning cybernetics.
History
In the 2020s, Raven Microcyb was the premier American manufacturer of cyberware, wetware and cybernetic electronics. They were well known for always surfing the cutting edge of cybertechnology, and were generally well-respected for their quality-control and modesty (their offices never had giant, imposing logos but only modest signs above the entrance). Being heavily involved in sensitive research and development projects, RMC was a very security-conscious company — they were ranked as a Security Level-4 Maximum Security organization in Arasaka's Almanac of Corporate Espionage (2020 edition). In terms of public image, Raven Microcyb was recognized not so much by its corporate policy as by its "shelf presence;" they were world-renowned for producing high-quality cyberware, full-body conversions, electronics, netware and ACPA components.
Stock market and business trends analysts and expert systems generally concurred that Raven Microcybernetics WAS Dr. Corvus Crowe; the corporation's policies mirrored his own personality, its products echoed the Doctors own areas of expertise, and fluctuations in RMC stock were even theoretically reflected in Dr. Crowe's health. According to most experts, there was no other company of such size which was so tightly tied to one man.[3]
