Denver - Melting Pot

Since Colorado declared all Subhumans to be minorities, and thus protected from prejudicial treatment, it has become a haven from Subhumans of all kinds. Denver, in particular, has become a melting pot of all kinds of Humans and Subhumans. Unfortunately there are still many businesses that refuse it hire Subhumans at all. Thus the unemployment and homelessness rates among Subhumans is still depressingly high.

BEcause of the continuing racism against Subhumans,, certain neighborhoods of Denver have become segregated between Human and Subhuman. The largest of these are the Faerie neighborhoods. Denver is their self-proclaimed homeland and capitol. Faeries are often the exception to the anti-Subhuman hiring prejudice. They make the best programmers and financial advisors, not to mention scientists and researchers.

Cherry Creek Resevoir has been proclaimed as an embassy for the Merpeople, with a fair number of residents there and in other lakes in the surrounding area. Fishing has been banned in these lakes, and boating and water sports have been severely decreased, only available by special permit only issued by the Merpeople embassy itself.

Mount Falcom Park has been claimed as the Dwarven embassy, and the Indian Hills area has been claimed as a Dwarven neighborhood.

Fairmount Cemetery has been overrun with Zombies, claiming it as their home. Many sleep inside of the masoleums there, while others simply sleep on the open ground.
