The single largest growth industry in the world is the business of rig customization. Every wannabe hacker or gamer has a rig these days, and they all want theirs to stand out and be unique. Most rig customization shops have both internal (components0 and external (cosmetic) customizations, though there are plenty of shops that only do cosmetic mods because they are cheaper and require very little technical expertise to install.
There are plenty of big corps that offer rigs and customizations, but the true craft of rig mods is performed exclusively in back alley rig shops. Corp rigs are fine for businesses, but are far from sufficient for real hackers and riggers. Everything from high-performance components to custom sculpted VR architecture can be found for sale in these shops, as well as all of the cosmetic mods you could ever imagine.
