Phonetics

Dark Elvish contains sharp, short consonants and bright vowels, theorised to come from the need to communicate through echoing chambers.

Tenses

Rather than change the entire sentence as in English, Sinithin contains a number of 'tense markers' which can be added to the end of a sentence or paragraph to change its context. These markers are:   Past Tense: thal Future Tense: ran   These are the names of two letters in the Sinithin alphabet, and so can be written as such when romanised: Th and R.   Absence of a tense marker always denotes present tense.

Sentence Structure

The word order of Sinithin is VSO - Verb, Subject, Object. Adjectives are always placed before the noun they describe, and Adverbs are always placed after the Verb they describe.   For example, the sentence "the happy boy accidentally dropped the ball", when rearranged into correct Sinithin order, becomes: "dropped accidentally the happy boy the ball".
