META:: Character Creation Kit

Below is a basic Character Creation Kit that will hopefully give a foothold into the world of Cyberfei. Best used alongside META:: Getting Started in the Cyberfei World

Basics

Name: it helps to check their species’ page to find naming conventions. If there aren’t any, make them up! If you’re stuck or confused, contact another creator!
Gender and Pronouns: remember to check your character's species to see how gender works for them!
Species: If elf, what type? If Fae, what kind? If human, are they a Thaumaturge?
Affiliation: Their faction, subculture, etc. They can be a member of more than one, for example a Thaumaturge affiliated with the Rebellion
Their home: Where were they born? Do they still live there? Where are they now?
Brief backstory/bio: An introduction to your character’s personality, history, etc. Where do they fit in the world?
Basic Appearance: Remember to check the wiki pages for their species and affiliation to get an idea of the kind of fashion and appearance they might have.

Obviously not all of these will be relevant to your character, but they should give you a good framework to go from!

History Pre-Uprising: Where were they before the Uprising, if they were born before it? What did they do? Think about the sort of things that might have led them to do whatever they do today.
History Post-Uprising: Where did they end up after the Uprising? How did it affect them? What do they do now?
Physical build: Slim? Chubby? Fat? Body shape? Lanky or short-limbed? Any missing or extra limbs? Etc
Facial features: Go into detail about their face! Markings, complexion, ear shape, eye shape, details about the colour of their eyes, that kind of thing!
Temperament: Easygoing? Grumpy? Aloof? Snobbish?
Hobbies: What do they like doing to pass the time?
Skills: Anything they’re particularly good at?

No creature in Cyberfei is immortal. If you wish to make your character immortal, please have a realistic explanation as to why, and run it by a moderator.
When creating characters who are linked to others (in friendship, by blood, whatever), you must consult with the other character’s creator first. This is in line with the rules of Personal and Indie Canon.
Try to keep within the constraints of the existing categories. Remember the most prevalent form of nonhuman life are types of fae.
If you’re unsure about something, ask, don’t assume. Even if there is no answer to your question yet, part of the fun of Cyberfei is brainstorming together.
